I’m licensed to provide counseling in Maryland and Florida. So, if you are located anywhere in those states, we can potentially work together. I also work with some clients who live outside of the US - this just depends on the telehealth rules in that country.

As long as you have reliable wifi and a private place to talk, it’s really easy and practical to meet online. Research has shown that online therapy is just as effective as in-person, for most people. And, there are many advantages including: increased flexibility for appointments; no time, traffic, or cost commuting; the ability to be comfortable in your home; and I get to see you in your usual environment - which can be helpful.

Nope, I stopped using an office in 2020. I’m completely online (and loving it) now.

My fees are currently $200 per 50-55 minute session. I’m not in-network with insurance plans; but many plans reimburse clients for a significant portion of their fees. I can give you a “Super Bill,” which is a receipt that you submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Please check with your plan to see if you have “out-of-network” benefits.

During our first meeting, I’ll ask you to tell me about what is currently causing you the most suffering. I’ll ask you some simple questions to find out what is contributing to your challenges, and also a bit about your background. I want to really understand you as a unique person, with unique experiences. And, I’ll ask you about your goals for yourself and your life.

Research shows that most clients report significant improvement from therapy in 12 - 15 sessions. I have also seen clients who completely resolve their problems in less time. And, many clients prefer or need more time than this due to ongoing life circumstances, difficulty practicing between sessions, ingrained patterns; or wanting to work on other issues that counseling can help.
